Eir (Epidemiological Inference and Response) is a Python package for simulating the spread of infectious diseases that provides implementations of common epidemic models, including SIR, SIS, SEIR, and their variants, while allowing users to model disease transmission in populations with spatial movement. The software is available through GitHub and can be downloaded, installed, and modified by users. It is also available through the Python Package Index (PyPI).
