This dataset, published by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), provides weekly reports on human West Nile virus cases in Europe during the current transmission season. Updated weekly from approximately June through November, it tracks locally acquired and travel-associated cases across EU/EEA member states and neighboring countries, with geographic distribution of affected areas. Data are reported by national public health authorities through the European Surveillance System (TESSy).
