The Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker (OxCGRT) is a comprehensive dataset developed by the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government that systematically records government policies and responses to the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide. It tracks 24 key indicators, such as school and workplace closures, public event restrictions, testing and contact tracing policies, and vaccination efforts, measured on scales that reflect the intensity of government actions. It also contains additional epidemiological statistics (cases, deaths, vaccination coverage). The data is available in CSV format, organized by country and region, and comes with detailed documentation explaining its methodology and coding. The dataset supports free use with proper attribution and is accompanied by related repositories focusing on regional data, including the USA and Brazil.
