The HIT-COVID dataset includes data on the type and timing of public health and social measures (PHSMs) implemented or relaxed in response to COVID-19, recorded at national and subnational levels (e.g., states, districts, and counties). Each entry includes the policy type, date of change, and a description, along with source documentation. Additional variables capture whether the intervention was required or recommended and the specific subpopulation it targeted
