IDSpatialStats is an R package that includes statistical tools for analyzing and understanding the spread of infectious diseases. The package contains a function that simulates infectious disease spread, along with novel spatial statistics to estimate:  the mean of the spatial transmission kernel (measure of fine-scale spatial dependence between two cases), the tau-statistic (measure of global clustering based on pathogen subtype).
