The Epidemic Simulator Compiler and Programming Environment (ESCAPE) is a framework for developing high-performance agent based epidemic simulators running on multi-core systems. This framework uses ESL (Epidemic Simulator Language) language to define the epidemic simulations. ESL provides constructs to define compartmental disease model, the structure of the contact networks on top of which the disease propagate, and general purpose programming constructs. ESCAPE provides a compiler that converts epidemics simulators using Epidemic Simulator Language (ESL) into C++ or CUDA programs. The ESCAPE compile is written in Python and is accessible on GitHub. The Github repository also contains documentation and link to ESCAPE model repository containing sample ESCAPE models.
