The Pneumonia and Influenza Mortality Surveillance dashboard contains mortality data at National, State and HHS region level for Influenza, Pneumonia and COVID-19 since the 2016-2017 season. The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) collects death certificate data from state for all deaths occurring in the United States. NCHS Mortality Surveillance System data are presented by the week the death occurred at the national, state, and HHS Region levels, based on the state of residence of the decedent, the data are also available by age group at country level.
