Description:
Since the season 2016-2017, the Respiratory Syncytial Virus Hospitalization Surveillance Network (RSV-NET) has conducts active, population-based surveillance for laboratory-confirmed RSV-associated hospitalizations in children younger than 18 years of age and adults during the October 1-April 30 season each year. RSV-NET currently includes 58 counties in 12 states and reports weekly and seasonal overall rate and cumulative rate of hospitalization at national and state level, by age group, sex, race and ethnicity.
